Wonderful photograph! This is exactly what this assignment called for. What I like most about this photograph is your use of a color gradient. Your photograph is actually made up of hundreds of colors but they are all varying shades of the same orange hue.

Secondly, you’ve used shapes (the silhouette of the trees) to provide a sense of depth and an element in and of themselves. They help mould the sky into a dramatic funnel shape that is very appealing to the eye.

The element I enjoy most about this photograph is the smaller details. The small branches that break away for the pack and stick out against the orange sky. You had very little camera shake with this picture and the result is that your viewer can see their outline perfectly. The leaves to the center / left are particularly interesting to me.

This is your best photograph yet! Great job.
