This is another great shot. It’s very well organized and composed. You’ve captured the sunset at a very opportune time and I think that the dark colors of the rooftop help create a gritty foreground to an otherwise beautiful sunset picture.

It’s very much the contrast of urban living and nature. I have a particular bias towards urban landscape shots, but this in particular is interesting because of the simplicity of the horizon. The urban look is found in the foreground, not the background, which is unusual and interesting. Well done.

My main concern with this photograph is around the edges. It can’t be overstated how important this is. Your bottom frame is fine, but the left wall, the top wall and the right wall all are cut at distracting locations. The top wall cuts a wire off and that appears a little distracting to me. However, it’s not as distracting as the other two walls of your photograph.

There is a lot of detail on the left wall of this photograph. There is an outlet, a pole, some wires and other elements as well. However, you’ve amputated most of those objects. You need to either decide to let those object enter you frame fully or remove them fully. The same happens on the right side of the photograph. There is an interesting looking metal cover but you’ve only included ¾ of it. I think it would help add to the “urban feel” of your photograph if you included that entire object. It would also provide for an interesting foreground object that is in focus that your viewers could rest their eye on when they are exploring your shot.

In short, just be extra aware of your framing and edges! Other than that… great work. It’s a pleasure to look at your photographs.
