I agree that they should keep going and with making it part of the class’s as it does bring the collective feelings and emotions one would go through once they venture out one there own and apply for work or such things.
I also want to apologies for not being active lately, but returning from 2 yrs. in Iraq has made it a little harder to get things back to the norm. I will be starting back up from where I had left off soon. till then take care all.July 25, 2011 at 12:42 pm in reply to: July 2011 Photography Competition Theme: Loving Life #20548
Here is my submission for this moths competition.
I would have liked to of taken it at the moment we found out to capture the initial wave of joy, but as many things are sensitive, as well as locations in the military. I had to reenact the seen but the joy is still as true as it’s first moment. I got the Idea for it right after we found out how much time we have left in Iraq, as for the Joe’s they were more that happy to help me out with it.
I took this photo at a wildlife reserve in TX.
here is a lonely tree I seen on my way out to day
After the long missions we do all over Iraq, we on occasion get some time off to rest up and unwind a bit. most of the joe’s like to do it by having a fun game of rugby.
I also was messing around with watermarking and managed to put it on the pic but could not figure out hoe to take it off lol. next time I’ll make a copy 🙂
Here is my entry . Florentino Valdez
I took the pic of the mug where it sits when not in use (next to the coffee pot on top of the Microwave to really show the mundane over looked mug) the B&W pic was my attempt to make the mug more appealing the only thing I did was change the camera from color to black and white and took the pic.
As for the focus… well that would be the true statement for the quality of work done by the local nationals here in Iraq whom I purchased the mug from lol… The focus on the my camera acutely was good
I will give it another go at this and resubmit
