To ensure you get the most out of the course I want you to specifically shoot photos for each assignment. I find it works better than just shooting lots of images and seeing which ones apply to each image. 😉
Now there are a couple quick things about each of these images before we get into the color aspect of them. The flower feels like it has been rotated portrait to landscape. When you do that with images like this they feel a little ‘off’ because things are defying gravity…. Another minor note about this image is that it’s ever so slightly out of focus.
In the photo of the yellow leaves in the tree you have done some very heavy and destructive editing using a clone tool as you can see below.

Be careful when editing images like this. You don’t want to repaint the entire photograph you just want to clone out lens dust or other minor items.
This isn’t a big deal but it certainly doesn’t help the image.
In future please just submit your images untouched or with minor editing.
Beyond those minor issues consider that you have completed the goal of the assignment! You have simplified these photographs using color as your primary organizing element and that’s great!
Nice work.
As always try to keep this lesson in mind when out shooting. Simplifying using color almost always improves the quality of your images.
