This lesson is probably the most challenging to critique because all that is required is that you get out that and shoot some images with a filter on.
Given that you’ve done well to complete the assignment. As to whether or not your filter is functioning the way you wanted, it’s hard to say.
I will give you a few notes on this image.
Compositionally it feels a bit awkward and uncomfortable given that I want to see more and it looks like you”re shooting up at the sky.
Also, I’m not a huge fan of watermarks. It’s best to just embed your metadata and copyright in the EXIF data of the images themselves. Some people will always steal photos and there is really nothing you can do about it on the internet. What you do want is people who will pay you to see your photos and want to use them.
This happens to me all the time. They will find one of my images somewhere and then contact me through either the EXIF data on the image or through my website.
Whatever the case, you should be flattered if people want to use your images for things. Some people will just flat out never pay for the use of the images. The people who will pay won’t like your watermarking.
In any case, you’ve done well here to complete your assignment and to play around with filters.
Over time you will need to develop your skill and knowledge with regard to filters. It just takes time and practice.
I would highly recommend you continue to practice and play with your filters. Shoot with the filter on and off using the same settings so you can see how they work.
