Hurricane Matthew, the most powerful Atlantic storm in nearly a decade, left a path of destruction over the Caribbean and is gaining strength as it heads towards southern US. At least 16 deaths have been blamed on the hurricane, and it is feared that Haiti is facing catastrophic damage.
