In the meantime, here is assignment 5. May 11, 2011 at 2:56 pm #20321 Duncan RawlinsonKeymaster Hi Rissa, I like the colors in this image but I want to be sure you understand what the assignment is all about. Can you please shoot another image for this one and I will critique both. Thanks! May 15, 2011 at 12:04 am #20322 Marissa BergusonParticipant Here’s my second shot. I would have liked to be able to focus more on the dandelion, but the overall image is combines of a few simple colors. May 17, 2011 at 5:54 pm #20323 Duncan RawlinsonKeymaster These are nice colors. Howcome couldn’t you focus on the dandelion?! May 17, 2011 at 6:00 pm #20324 Marissa BergusonParticipant I think my mistake could have been that I tried to take in too much of the person in the background in relation to the dandelion, so my result was a focus on the grass. May 17, 2011 at 6:06 pm #20325 Duncan RawlinsonKeymaster Did you try manual focus? May 19, 2011 at 4:41 pm #20326 Marissa BergusonParticipant I didn’t even think of it! I’m still getting used to this camera. I’ll remember the manual focus in the future! Thank you for pointing that out. May 19, 2011 at 7:59 pm #20327 Duncan RawlinsonKeymaster I would recommend doing manual focus as much as you can to get comfortable with it! Auto focus is handy but you really learn more using manual. Thanks! Author Posts Viewing 8 posts - 1 through 8 (of 8 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
