KeymasterThe competition for July 2011 has begun!! 🙂 😮
COMPETITION THEME – Loving Life
Each student is allowed to upload ONLY 1 photograph for this competition.
Submit 1 photograph that features something to do with the idea of “Loving Life”. For this competition you need to put a bit of thought into creating a nice composition. You can achieve this in camera with natural environments, studio lighting or through editing (or any combination of those things). Our main priority here is that the photo is related to the theme of “Loving Life” in some way. You can interpret that however you’d like!
Don’t forget to use creative elements such as: patterns, spectacle, color grading, wardrobe, make-up, texture etc. Or really anything you can think of.
Good luck and get your submissions in before the end of July 2011!
The Winner will receive a gift certificate to Amazon.com

ParticipantHere is my submission for this moths competition.
I would have liked to of taken it at the moment we found out to capture the initial wave of joy, but as many things are sensitive, as well as locations in the military. I had to reenact the seen but the joy is still as true as it’s first moment. I got the Idea for it right after we found out how much time we have left in Iraq, as for the Joe’s they were more that happy to help me out with it.July 28, 2011 at 8:09 am #20549MichaelS

ParticipantThese are all awesome. I wasn’t active in July outside of a couple days. However, I have a great example of where we need to remember our camera at all times. I was at a 4th of July celebration where a 3 young kids were anxiously awaiting fireworks. Their faces were all painted and they were waving flags. They were laughing and just having a great time. The lighting was perfect (late day). I really missed a golden shot! Never again!
